Santa Clarita Spring 2008 Watercolors on Rice-paper Workshops
Beginners are welcome! Enjoy the spontaneous nature of this beautiful art form. Express your
creativity with watercolors on rice-paper using Chinese Brush techniques. Create your own
paintings and experience an entirely different way of painting. No sketching or drawing
involved. Let your energy flow into the brush and bring your flowers and landscapes to life.

Tuesday Mar 11, 18 & 25 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Flowers - Marigolds, Tulips, Snap-Dragons
You will learn the concepts of color-loading, water
control and brush strokes used to capture the beauty
of flowers. Choose your own colors, design your
own composition. You will complete 3 paintings in
3 workshops.
Tuesday Apr 8 & 15 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Wednesday Apr 9 & 16 10:00 to 12:00 noon
Landscapes - Waterfalls
This workshop will introduce the use of chinese
ink, watercolors and brushstrokes used for landscapes.
You will complete 1 landscape painting
over 2 workshops.
Wednesday May 14 10:00 to 12:00 noon
Koi Fish
This workshop will introduce techniques used
for painting koi fish.
