Each lesson has a materials list, detailed
step-by-step instructions with a breakdown of the
different brush strokes required to create the
painting, sequencing, suggested color choices, an
image of the completed painting and warm-up
brush stroke exercises to help you create a
beautiful painting.
Beginner level lessons are recommended for
brush artists who have a rudimentary
understanding of color-loading, moisture control,
simple center and side strokes. The subject matter
is more forgiving and so a pleasing painting is
easily achievable.
Intermediate level lessons are recommended for
brush artists who are consistent with their
moisture control, have strong and consistent
simple center and side strokes and have
well-blended color-loading results. The subject
matter has an expectation for accuracy in direction
and proportions.
Advanced level lessons have challenging or
innovative advanced level brush-strokes, complex
color-loading techniques or complex
compositions. The subject matter has an
expectation of mastery in basic techniques, center
and side strokes, moisture control and
color-loading, accuracy in proportions and
direction.
Each lesson is available as a downloadable PDF
file. A printed version is also available with an
additional $6.99 shipping fee.
