Choose your own colors, design your own composition. You will learn how to 'paint' the essence of exotic flowers and will complete 3 paintings over 3 workshops. Wednesday April 5, 12 and 19, 2006 10:00 to 12:00 pm (3 workshops) Flowers - Bamboo, White Orchids, Water-Lilies Learn about the different types of rice-paper and types of Chinese brushes used for floral subjects. This workshop will go through the concepts of color-loading (watercolors), water control, working with Chinese Ink and the various brush strokes used to capture the beauty of flowers. Choose your own colors, design your own composition. You will learn how to 'paint' the essence of flowers and will complete 3 paintings over 3 workshops. Tuesday April 25 and May 2nd, 2006 6:00 to 8:00 pm (2 workshops) Landscape - Trees and Reflections This workshop will introduce the brushstrokes used for painting trees and special techniques used for water reflections. You will complete 1 landscape painting over 2 workshops. Wednesday April 26 and May 3nd, 2006 10:00 to 12:00 noon (2 workshops) Landscape - Mist and Mountains Learn about the different types of rice-paper and types of Chinese brushes used for landscapes. This workshop will introduce the colors of Chinese Ink, use of watercolors and how to create mystical misty landscapes You will complete 1 landscape painting over 2 workshops.
