This workshop will go through the concepts of color-loading (watercolors), water control and the brush strokes used to capture the beauty and lushness of large multi-layered petal flowers such as roses. You will complete 1 rose painting in this workshop. Wednesday September 22, 2004 7pm to 9pm Introduction to Watercolors on Rice-paper (Landscape) Learn about the different types of rice-paper and types of Chinese brushes used for landscape paintings. This workshop will introduce the use of watercolors with Chinese Ink. Learn how to create depth by varying color intensity with water control and brush strokes used to capture the beauty of mountains, sky and water reflections. You will complete one landscape painting in this workshop. Wednesday September 29, 2004 7pm to 9pm Watercolors on Rice-paper (Flowers - Irises) Build on the basic techniques taught in Introduction to Watercolors on Rice-paper (Flowers) focusing on control and versatility of the Chinese Brush and the concepts of color intensity. This workshop will go through the brush strokes used to capture the bright colors and beauty of Irises. You will complete 1 painting in this workshop.
